We had a phenomenal experience here for my wife's birthday. If you want a great Italian dining experience, this is the spot! The place is cozy and oozing with historical charm. The service was excellent and really added to the experience. And of course the food was delicious. The spaghetti and meatballs and lasagna were both top notch and left us completely stuffed. If you have room afterwards, the dessert was also great! Also, you'll definitely want to make reservations here if you visit on a weekend. It was packed on a Friday night.

We came for our 5 year anniversary and the staff was very friendly and attending. Always made sure our drinks were good and that everything was good. The food had the best flavors and was amazing 10/10 recommend

I will not eat Italian when leaving Chicago. When visiting St Louis I was told that we had to eat at Charlie Gitto’s. Not only was the food outstanding. But the service was brilliant. Scott took great care of us Friday night. So our server was Scott but his co worker Steve was just as amazing. The two of they complemented each other and took great care of us. I would go back just to watch the Scott & Steve show - Again these guys were great. Try to sit on the patio and definitely get the toasted ravioli.

A perfect Italian eating experience. You can’t miss with anything you pick off the menu. Been here many times and have never left disappointed. Atmosphere, location, service and food are all perfect.

This is by far the fanciest restaurant we have been to. Easy reservations. The staff was great. Drinks and food was delicious. The waitress was awesome. Glad we chose this restaurant for our five year anniversary! Wish we had one in Clarksville Indiana.

I just love small intimate restaurants like Charlie G’s. What a treasure in St. Louis. Located in The Hill neighborhood this place has some great history to go along with the excellent food. Try the fried ravioli as it’s a St. Louis favorite. I had the lobster spaghetti and it was delicious. I definitely could have split the plate with someone too. Unfortunately I was flying home early the next day so I didn’t get to enjoy my leftovers. It’s pretty expensive but definitely worth the food and experience. Plan ahead and get a reservation as it can fill up days ahead of time.

Great food here. I had the scallop special and it was amazing. We had the toasted ravioli and risotto balls as an appetizer and they were good. The carrot cake for dessert was also great. The service was great. I would definitely go back.

I'm so glad I tried this STL staple. The food, drinks and ambiance were phenomenal. Our server Abby was delightful and attentive. The toasted ravioli were tender and delicious, the pasta was cooked to perfection and well seasoned. It's the most satisfying meal I've had in a long time. I can't wait to go back.

The restaurant was rather dark when you enter which gave it a lovely ambiance. We were told that we could sit at the bar since we did not have a reservation. I ordered a lovey Cosmo which was delicious. My dinner was Veal that was outstanding and plenty of it. Unfortunately I also ordered the Brussel sprouts which were not good. I sent them back once since they were not hot enough. Actually they did not taste any better when it came back hotter. The Brussel sprouts needed to be cooked more. I told both waiters behind the bar that they should be taken off the menu. I thought they would take it off my bill. But that did not happen. So overall the wait staff was good the gentleman at the front desk were fantastic as they let me charge up my phone that was almost out of battery.

Truly one of the best meals I've had all year! We had a game plan going in and it was thrown out once we heard the specials. Tim, our server, provided amazing recommendations and was very attentive. The room was perfect for an intimate dining room on The Hill. This is a little nicer than other Hill restaurants, so plan your clothing not to show up in shorts and a T shirt. Started with cocktails, a Negroni and Sicilian Manhattan. This is the origins of the toasted ravioli, so we couldn't pass them up. Topped it off with a steak, lobster spaghetti and truly amazing sea bass. Skipped desserts because we were so satiated.
